Start with credentials
Ask directly who will perform the injections, rather than assuming it is the person you speak with at the front desk or see in marketing. Ask what professional licence that person holds, what training they have completed for injectable treatments, how long they have been performing them, and what supervision or medical oversight arrangements apply at the practice. Requirements and practice models vary, so ask the practice to explain their own arrangement and verify licensing through the appropriate Utah licensing authority if you want independent confirmation.
Look at experience with the treatment you want
General experience is not the same as relevant experience. Someone may perform many treatments overall and still have limited experience with the specific area or goal you are asking about. Ask how often they treat that area, what approach they typically take and how they adapt a plan when results are not what a patient hoped for.
Ask about the consultation process
A thorough consultation should cover your health history and any medications or conditions that matter, your goals in your own words, the risks and possible side effects, the outcomes you can realistically expect, alternative options including doing nothing, and the follow-up plan. Ask whether the consultation happens before treatment or on the same day, and who conducts it.
Review before-and-after examples carefully
Photo examples can help you understand a provider's aesthetic style and the kind of change they aim for. Read them carefully: lighting, angle, expression and timing all affect how a result appears, and individual outcomes vary. No example is a promise of your result. Ask whether the images show the provider's own work and the same treatment area you are considering.
Do not choose based on price alone
Price is one legitimate factor, and it is reasonable to ask how a quote is calculated. It should sit alongside qualifications, assessment quality, treatment planning, product choice, safety practices and follow-up support. A lower quote that skips a proper consultation is not a saving.
